  • Taming the LaPavoni Europiccola

    Hi all,
I wonder if you are aware of any resources about taming the LaPavoni Europiccola in terms of brewing temperature.

I mean, its easy finding hundreds of stories how badly the thing behaves, how it heats up, how you always shoot into the dark etc, but has anybody ever measured this machine in more detail and come up with some "temp surfing" type of rules ?
What I mean is correlating grouphead temperatures (at some tbd location)  to the brewing water temperatures in the PF you would then subsequently get ?

The intriguing point is: for any given selected boiler temp there must be a certain grouphead temp during the heat-up phase, at which the brewing water would just end up to be at appr. 90 deg and it would be nice to know at which exactly ?

    Any pointers appreciated,

    Cheers Peter

    Gday Peter,
You might like to check this link out, its dedicated to lever machines and you should be able to find something to help you out.

      Thanks Lovey,
I will have a look at HB in couple of few days. Got the sneaking impression (from SEARCH) that not too many CSs are having this machine ...

      All the best,
      Peter
