Because it's in the very few rules that we have had here for 7+ years...

Simplest way is the step down voltage transformer ( 240v - 110v)
...which will change the voltage but not the frequency which has the potential to cause other issues.

A 2000W 240v to 110v step-down transformer can be found on the bay of evils for $79.00 with free delivery.

Unless all the internal devices ( controls, heaters, valves, grinder motor etc etc, are all low voltage (24v ?) , which is highly unlikely ..
then the conversion would entail much more than changing a "power supply".
Simplest way is the step down voltage transformer ( 240v - 110v) which could be bought for <$100.. orless if you shop around in the Ex pat US community
An 240->120 converter is a few hundred dollars so isn't an economical option.
    ???

A power supply change on both machines
The BES860XL has a built-in grinder so it's only one machine.

A power supply change on both machines, if it's even feasible, is not going to be more economical than selling and re-purchasing 240v gear. Skilled labour is not cheap and that's a major job.

Not worth converting in my opinion. Looking at Amazon, that Breville combo is only about US$600 brand new.
Unless your friend is only here for a short while, I think (s)he is better of selling the equipment while it is still as-new and buying new gear in Australia.

  • Power supply change on Breville Barista Express BES860XL Machine with Grinder

My friend is moving from the US to Brisbane in a few months. He has only recently bought a Breville Barista Express BES860XL Machine with Grinder. An 240->120 converter is a few hundred dollars so isn't an economical option.

Is there anyone that can change the power supply to Australian 240V?

    Thanks
Working...
