Quick update... we just got the machine back. It has a new (blue) seal; they also replaced the drip tray (the paint had peeled and bubbled) and the steam pin.
New seal is much tighter than the old one. Fired it up this morning and got an ok shot straight up. It was in sunbeams "ideal" range on the dial, although weve found we prefer the next band up on the dial.
The dial itself seems to be pushed in though, will be calling sunbeam about that. Its hard to read and surely not good for a part to be that far out of place.
But that aside, Sunbeam were great about the whole thing. Plus Ive had conversations about coffee with a couple of workmates curious about the package...
