Hey all,

been lurking and learning at coffee snobs for a while but this is my first post. I have just replaced the steam arm on my gaggia classic with a new silvia steam wand as described here: http://coffeesnobs.com.au/brewing-eq...ent-mod-5.html.

Instead of using the adapter (that came supplied with the wand bought from Di Bartoli), I used the nut from the original wand and sanded down the new wand so it would fit. All went smoothly as others have reported in the thread linked above.

Following this however, I have noticed that steam escapes from the tip of the silvia wand where the screw-in tip meets the wand arm itself. Have I not screwed it in tight enough? It feels pretty tight already, so just wondering if anyone else has encountered and solved this.
