For the money, if what you want is a consistently good cup of coffee, I can't think of a better option than the BES900XL. Based on my experience with them, they are quite easy to learn, and one does not need an advanced certificate in steam engineering to operate it. And they're not a FIAT (Fix It Again Tony)
I bought ours on line, from the place that had the best price. They say that Breville has excellent customer service, although we haven't needed to test that yet. .
Sadly most of the specialist coffee retailers were locked out when Breville decided to go with the big retailers.
Why not have a talk to Chris at Talk Coffee, there are better options than the Breville available.
Many thanks for your prompt advise Yelta.I will follow it up..

Hi,
I would appreciate advice re where to buy a new Breville BES900. Living in central vic. I'd like to buy from someone who really understands the machine, i.e. not a general retailer. I read that Dennis at 'Cuppa Coffee' is no longer active, pity. I'm prepared to trip up to Melbourne for this important buy.
Cheers, Mike
