  • Question for the Silvia fanatics.

Has anyone heard of a Silvia being fitted with a commercial C-lever steam tap ??

Iv looked into it and it can be done reasonably easily using all genuine Rancilio parts and some light engineering.

Have you got a picture of what such a tap looks like?

Looks like it might if that thread on the entry is the same, and long enough on the C-lever

The wand thread is the same and lines up , so the V3 wand will screw straight on.
The rear thread is larger 3/8" vs 1/4" , so that needs to be drilled out larger and painted to prevent rusting. The factory pipework will bolt up using a 3/8" - 1/4" adaptor from the pressure transducer on an Epoca.

The front panel also needs to be enlarged to fit the C-lever , otherwise it will all bolt together.

Nice idea,..but i imagine it may look a little out of proportion on the Silvia.
Have you considered possibly using one of the smaller "toggle" valves ,..as used by Bezzera. ?
