    Thank you
it is the group head, the chrome is peeling. Cosmetic only. Although after 5 yrs I would imagine a new group seal would be timely.
any insights into translating the manufacturing label for build date?

    Welcome

Is it the grouphead or group seal that need replacing?

Seal is less than ten dollars, shower screen less than twenty, all up takes about thirty minutes, cosmetic stuff is whatever you and the buyer agree upon.

    Hello coffee snobs
forum newbie so please let me know if i am in the wrong section.
I have just happily upgraded my Miss silvia to a Lelit PL60V2 and very happy indeed.
I'm getting my faithful Rancilio ready to sell 2nd hand, but cant seem to find the build date anywhere. On the label on the base of the machine I can work out which numbers are wattage etc, and there is one that says 0508. Would this be the build date? I think it is about 5-6 yrs old as I got around the same time as my 2nd daughter
Also the machine needs a new group head, shower screen and has a bit of rust and paint bubbling in the drip tray area. All just ageing despite loving care and gentle use, so I am factoring a disclosed cost of about $200 to replace/repair these plus service.
Would this be about right? I like to be an ethical second-hand seller and my machine would be perfect for a uni student coffee snob or similar.
Working...
