Dripping steam wand. Washer or o ring?

Hi guys, I have a Lelit Combi with PID machine that has a dripping steam wand. Do you know if I need to change the washer, o ring or both? Also, how do I actually do that .

Hi

If its like the older machines its a tapered needle and seat, no seals. You can undo the locking nut on the end of the steam valve body and the needle valve will unscrew all the way.

There was a post on here a while ago where someone used a bit of heatshink tube over the needle to help seal it, do a search.

There are is one (or two?) o rings on the needle shaft but they are to stop water leaking out between the needle and vlave body.

Thanks artman. What you've told me makes sense to my husband so I'll be getting him to tackle that one. I make the coffee, he fixes the machine

No probs. when he pops off the lid he will see the nut and it all should be very obvious.
