Gaggia Classic with decent grinder or Breville BES920?
No I don't, which is why I was wondering if the Gaggia with a decent grinder will give a better cup than the Breville with the included grinder. I can't afford to upgrade to Breville AND buy a decent grinder so it's one or the other.
No advice at all? Am I trying to compare machines that aren't compatible?
Yes they are not really in same boat, I went from PID classic to BDB and it was great. Heaps more fun to use, great bang for your buck machines especially if you treat them with some care.
Yes I would definitely get the breville over another classic.
Gaggia Classic with decent grinder or Breville BES920?
Hi experts,
I had a power surge blow my Gaggia Classic up in a recent storm so am looking to replace. Insurance will cover cost of new Gaggia, since I have the chance to start afresh I was wondering if I should replace Gaggia Classic new & spend around $300 on a decent grinder (recommendations greatly appreciated) or use the grinder & insurance money to buy a Breville BES920 (which seems to be getting good reviews). Any advice? Thanks
