Thank you everyone for your advice. I will not be able to afford to purchase until closer to Christmas, just doing my research now. The demo Oscar looks like a great price, I will definitely see if it's still free come mid-November

Breville DB's frequently show up on sale for under $1k, at the big retailers.....in various colours .
So be patient and watch for the specials!.
..Or there is always the Gaggia Classic .

Awakeasleep,
If ya willing to fork out for the advertised $1098.00 plus any freight charges that may apply for the black Oscar from sponsor Casa Espresso, I think you got a good deal on that one.[emoji477] [emoji106]

At your budget, go for the Simonelli Oscar. Will be a great match with the K3.
I have the black one with the K3 silver.
Have not let us down.
If you do go ahead and get the machine, I,d recommend changing the standard 4 hole tip to a 2 hole aftermarket one from Coffeeparts.
Much better microfoam for latte art.

I guess you could always buy an Italian machine of your preference, remove the covers and have them powder-coated to a black finish....

Black espresso machine
Hey guys,
We have a black Compak Push through recommendations from this forum. At the time I could only afford the grinder OR an espresso machine so I took your advice and went with the grinder.
Now I'd like to foray into the espresso machine territory. We're currently using Aeropress.
My problem is that I'm a big stubborn jerk and I want a black machine; or at least a machine that is primarily black. I just like black appliances.
Breville do a couple that come in black (but the one I like the look of the most - the Dual Boiler - only seems to come with the grinder which I don't want). My other appliances (kettle/toaster/slow cooker/etc) are all Breville and I'm quite happy with them but I do feel a bit anxious about them for espresso for some reason.
I've seen the Silvia recommended a million times but it seems to only be silver.
Other than Breville are there any recs for a black entry-level machine around the $600-$1000 mark? Thank you
