    hi, i just got this machine 2nd hand and find it very noisy mechanically,,cluck,cluck,cluck sound,,,,about 3 times noisier than the steamer pump when making a cup,,is this quite normal....

    No, not normal. Try letting a little water out of the hot water knob as it could be an airlock hammering. Other than that - a bit of audio would help a lot!

        here is a video with sound,,hope it helps,,,,i have descaled it ,,pressure can get into the red if very fine and tampered tight,,steam pump is dying and needs replacing but apart from that all seems ok,,,so is this noise normal?

          That's pretty normal. The noise is one of the biggest drawbacks to the 6910.
          Once extraction is underway it should be significantly quieter.
          Does it make decent coffee?

              well thats definitely reduced the noise,,have you taken some part out of the em7000 and fitted it in,,,,custom job....nice crema,,i must be using the wrong beans,although crema depends on the beans and not quite sure what it does to the taste .thx for the video,,,
              p.s i am about to buy a new steam pump,,any cheap place to get one?
