Hi All,
I have been having trouble with my Simonelli Oscar so I stripped her down for a general clean. I gave the boiler a good descale soak and I chucked the element in the bucket without thought for the contacts. On putting the jigsaw back together it is tripping the power circuits. I will go through the isolation process again tomorrow but it appears that the element is whats tripping the safety switch.
Is what I did an obvious no no? Are elements prone to shorting out. The integrity of the element is still intact from what I can see.
Any comments / thoughts /
Cheers Yabba
