  • BEP920 - Steam wand 3 beeps

    Hello all,

I just purchased a brand new BEP920 and I have followed the setup instructions correctly (i believe).

I power the machine on and wait until it reaches 93 degrees.
I've flushed the group head hot water outlet, but every time I move the Steam wand into the up position, all I hear are 3 beeps and no steam.

    Any ideas?

Steam boiler is not up to temperature. That's what the beeps are saying.

Thanks for your quick reply Chris!

Oh ok, I thought once the machine hits its temp of 93 degrees Celsius and the 1 cup - 2 cup LEDs turn on that it's ready.

I'll turn it on and leave it for a while tomorrow before trying again.

Your hot water tap just needs to be turned off. To make sure its off, turn it all the way on so that got water is coming out then turn the dial completely off. Then try your steam again....

Thats for your brew boiler. The steam boiler can lag behind a little especially if recent fully filled with cold water. Normally you won't notice. As Melb says check the hotwater tap is closed also.

It normally takes about 2 minutes longer for my steam to reach temperature after the brew boiler.

Similar issue, mine just needed display reset (pg 29) and worked fine. Air bubble trapped possibly.

                  Hi All
First time poster. I just purchased the Breville Dynamic Duo setup after lots of research on this forum. Big thanks to everybody that posts their experience and opinions.
I had the same issue with my steam wand during setup and had to do a "reset to default settings" as adonit describes above. Worked fine after that.
