As long as water is not flowing from this valve when the pump is running when filling the boiler or when you're extracting then it's good to go. If water is flowing from it when the pump is on, the pump pressure is either too high or the expansion valve bypass pressure is set too low, or it's faulty.
I have tried 2 different expansion valves, same results.
water flows when the pump is running, there is a lot of water coming out of the valve. Is there a way to adjust the pump pressure?

ICBW, but I always thought the boiler only filled part way and steam filled the rest of the boiler.
I thought maybe the level sensor (if there is such a thing) wasn't working.??

      I found this:
I will try cleaning the level probe and report back.

      Hi!

Now the Carimali is cleaned and put together again. I plugged it in an filled the boiler, but autofill didn't stop so it overfilled! I was angry for i while and started to investigate the cause for the overfill. I took out the level probe, sanded it and then sanded the ground wires. They where in a bad shape! Now autofill works.
I then did som tests on the autofill solenoid on the water lnlet box. With autofill ON I got 230V at the coil. With autofill OFF i could read about 26V att the coil! I was hoping for 0V. Is that a problem? Is i enough to open the plugger inside the solenoid?

Turns out the inner boiler has a hole in it. Water was flowing from there into the main boiler and out the pressure relief valve.

Can the tank be cut in half, welded and put back together?

Does anyone have an UNO e boiler they would like to sell?

Thanks for the help, i was really hoping i could get it working. ..

Sorry for not replying earlier, I forgot. That certainly is an unlucky situation, it isn't very common for the heat exchangers to get holes in them on any machine so I didn't really consider it at the time.

A boilermaker may be able to open it up along one of the end seams and repair it. They would then pressure test it to make sure it's safe afterwards.
I'm not really sure on the legality of doing that for domestic equipment so it'd be best to discuss it with them first. It may also end up more expensive to do a repair than to just get another boiler.

Sourcing a replacement boiler would then be the next issue, can't help you in that regard, especially as you are in Canada.
