I have a Sunbeam EM6910. Love it. It’s about 10 years old. Last night I broke the thread of the brass elbow that connects to the steam thermo block and consequently need not only to replace the brass elbow but also the 4mm copper pipe that runs to the steam wand. I looked on eBay for old machines for spare parts and I found a guy just up the road from me selling a EM7000 although advertised as a 6910. Can anybody tell me if the parts are compatible? I would really like to get this fixed before my wife gets home from her week away and discovers I broke the coffee machine. Thanks

I would also look on Gumtree, EM6910's are a common item on there.

Yes, the thermoblocks are compatible between the two.

The EM7000 uses a nylon tube rather than a copper pipe to join the thermoblock to the steam valve. It is slightly too short for the EM6910 and it's going to stress both ends of the tube quite badly. It'll probably work in a pinch but I wouldn't rely on it long term.
