Hi Forum,
I need your help!!! I was recently given an old Rancilio Miss Lucy machine. I am planning to refurbish it and us it as my first serious espresso maker.
The machine was used for 1-2 year in semi-duty way. But after than it remained switched off in a basement for about 12-13 years. Still it does not look to bad (not rust of anything).
I am trying to see , if I can find any replacement parts, but it is not possible(in EU at least). Due to the fact that ithe espresso maker remained switched off , for so long time I bet that I would have to change at least anything made our of rubber/silicon seals (i.e. Boiler Silicon, Group head rubbers, Gasket etc, pipes etc) and also the Grinder blades. Hopefully the boiler should be still intact.
Can you please tell me if I can use replacements parts from any other Rancilio Model ?
Moreover according to your experience , what are the parts that I should replace, in order to ensure that I could safely use it ( considering the fact that it stayed for more than 10 years in a a basement). or any other issues that I should have in my mind ?
Thank you!!!!
