  • Breville water tank seal failures BES810,840,860,870’s

    Dear coffee lovers,
Firstly,I’m sure many owners would already be aware of this however, Breville ( as with other brands) machine owners are generally pleased with their machines and want their machines to operate as expected, without unexpected problems.
I have recently worked on one of these machines ,trying to identify the cause of unexplained water leakage from underneath machine.
As per the accompanying image, the design of OEM tank seal fails due to long term water immersion.
This distorted seal allows tank water to seep past the internal rim resulting in water leaking onto benches.
Solution is to replace the leakage prone seal with a newer design improved seal.
I’m hoping my findings in some way assist owners who may be experiencing similar leakage problems.
    cheer’s,
    Mick.
