La Pavoni Joystick Steam Valve

Hmmmmm having owned a professional and a europicolla I would think probably not. The steam knob is basically one long piece that goes through the tube at the top of the boiler and allows the hole for steam to flow to be opened. I just don't see how you could make it a joystick handle.

See below - maybe not abundantly clear, but it needs the 'unwinding' action to bring out the screw like inner part (part number 4) to allow the flow of steam to the wand.
I am sure it would be possible with some very serious modding, but you would have to completely redesign the steam wand assembly (part 1 which consists of parts 2-9).

It's really easy to take apart the steam wand assembly (like the entire la pavoni is, which is for me the true beauty of the machine). However if you have an older machine, often the only thing holding the seals together is the fact they are still in place - so fair warning advised!

Thanks for that, yeah I was thinking maybe it hasn’t ever happened before but it would be good. I might take it apart and measure it up for thread size and see if I can get something. It’s fairly new so the seals should be perfect!

Just wondering whether anyone knows whether this can be done?

i have a professional and would love to do this but unsure of the thread pitch and even if that is right whether this would even work?
