Either from age related build up or someone much stronger than me putting them on, all the screws were a bugger to get off.

Hey Rod, exact same problem with my machine. Parts are on order from Jetblack (including new showerscreen and screw.

How did you remove the shower screen screw? I’ve completely rounded it out trying to remove it!

        Hi TheHoge
Only just logged on and saw your message. Probably too late but just in case - I had to cut a slot into the screws so I could use a screw driver to undo them. It destroyed the shower screen, but I had ordered a new one anyway so that wasn't a loss.

When I put them back on I didn't tighten them up anywhere near as much. I've had no problems getting them off again now.

According to this thing I’ve read “The 2.5mm allen key is used to remove the showerscreen, by undoing the central screw.” I’ve tried a 2.5. And can’t get a grip in there to remove it. I was wondering if I needed a different sized key.

Sorry to open up an old thread. I’ve got this machine too (but with grinder and PID) bought in 2017 from jet black. A few months ago mine did the same, but while pulling a shot. Had it fixed at the local coffee shop and then it happened again about 1-2m later, this time I replaced it myself as well as a new basket and internal metal disk all from jetblack

That was December. All of a sudden, again!! That’s 3 o-rings in maybe 4-5m but it’s been rock solid this whole time.

What am I doing wrong?? Running fine for 4 years then just starts falling apart? What else should I be changing? Or is it becoming a lemon?

we’ve been discussing upgrading to an ECM for some time now but waiting on moving house before we do that (next year)
