    Re: EM480 setting for 6910?

Ive recently had to drop mine to zero. I think there could be a prob. On the 6910, I over-extract to about the 3 oclock position on the gauge. I have to really put a lot of pressure into my tamps too

I set it to 18. As i found there is nothing coming out from the spout if i set the setting less than 18.

Sugilun, That doesnt sound right to me, irrespective of the number [12, 15, 18 whatever] I found that a number either side would still produce a shot [albeit about 9 sec, too slow or too fast] and I found I would usually have to go at least two steps finer from optimum, before Id choke the shot.
I have a different machine though, so I guess the pressures may differ.

As TG said, the manual states a range of 12-16, others here found 6-8.
Just set it up for a 30ml single or 60ml double pour in about 25-30 sec.
The volume & time is only really a guide since you want to stop the shot at the onset of blonding.

See the threads about 0480 mods if its grinding too course or fine .. which may well be the case..

    EM480 setting for 6910?

    Good evening!!

My 480 has finally arrived and I remember seeing some comments a month or so ago re the normal setting people use for their 6910s?

What number should I start with as a rough guide?

    Cheers
