  • Why I Love Sunbeam

Ok, rang Sunbeam this morning as my seal (EM 6910) had blown/broken - by the end of a short pleasant phone call the seal was in the post (with instructions) to my home!

    Got to Love that!

Absolutely. Ive heard very good reports of their customer service here on CS. Its good to know theyre serious about helping people out and listening to the customer, and it shows in the positive movements in the EM69XX range. Good job SB!

Reminds me. Two months ago, our Sunbeam EM3600 at work blew a Thermoblock gasket (leaking water internally), and was 3 months out of warranty.
Sunbeam Support replaced it with a brand new EM3600 with 12 months warranty!

Wow Phil thats amazing, great customer service alright!

I rang them this morning as the thread on the base of my pf had begun to peel. I was able to flick the s/s off the brass. Yuck, if I hadnt have seen it some may have ended up in the cup. Anyway after a brief explanation and a short period on hold (while she spoke to the manager) a new pf was on its way Looks like the old one will be going naked now!

                  Re: Why I Love Sunbeam

its not stainless that was peeling - the Pf and group is brass with chrome plating. chrome plating always peels evenualy

Thanks for that correction gaggia, oops my mistake. I guess I read that’s what it was somewhere on here because honestly I have no idea about that kind of stuff.

BTW my pf met the lathe yesterday. I will post some pics later today as per Denniss request.

Fanastic shots indeed... very well done. I see you have your dosing very well refined seeing that you have no channelling (not that I can see). Very impressive. Bravo!

I must get my Naked PF out again and play ;-)
