Re: Gaggia Classic hot water function
Gee 499 is a very good price for a classic.
These are usually in the $600 price range. More classic info etc is in the $500 - $1500 forum.

Re: Gaggia Classic hot water function
Welcome aboard Trumboli.
Manuals are pretty skimpy when it comes to giving consumers what they need to know!
Bring your machine up to normal operating temperature, put your cup/container under the steam wand to collect the hot water, open the steam knob and press the brew switch to operate the pump.

Gaggia Classic hot water function
I recently purchased a Gaggia Classic. I couldnt afford the other $350 or so for my first choice a Miss Silvia. Then it would have been a Rocky grinder etc etc. I must say that my Classic is turning out beautiful shots. Beautiful microfoam as well. Extremely happy with it.
One prob though, is, i cannot work out how to produce hot water with this machine >
. OK this is not the end of the world but the manual says it can be done and there are times I will need this function. My manual starts explaining and then seems to be missing a few words or possibly a sentence or two.
Is there anyone out there with a Classic who could step me through the hot water bit? This would be much appreciated.Tags: None
