Re: what do you think of Rancilio machines?
Italian made tank. Mean espresso, but go the PID and youll keep the odd one out of the sink. Just moved to an HX and all good, but still miss Miss Silvia.
Shes gone to a good home though>>>>>>>
Enjoy.

Re: what do you think of Rancilio machines?
Ive heard nothing but good reports about them, having said that I would at this point in time highly recommend the pid version available through Chris at "talk coffee"one of the coffee snobs site sponsors, that is if I have my facts straight.
I have a pid on my home machine, cant recommend it highly enough, they are simply fantastic, a whole new dimension of controlled espresso making..
I hope this helps........ Ray.

Re: what do you think of Rancilio machines?
I played with my friends Silvia right next to my EM6910 and it feels great. I reckon that I like it just as much as I like my 6910.
Though the steam wand is not as adjustable as the 6910, but the power on it is still really good. I seem to be making better foam on it than my 6910.

Re: what do you think of Rancilio machines?
I love mine too!
I have had my Silvia and her mate Rocky for three months now and they are both great, producing impressive espresso and milk drinks - great microfoam too, once the technique is mastered.
Greenman is right about the construction too. Nothing flimsy about either of them.
