    Re: Silvia Steam Tip breaking

Got the replacement steam tip in, and it didnt fit cause there is existing threads in the steam arm... oh well got to wait some more time until steam arm comes in.

Until that time I am enjoying short blacks

    Re: Silvia Steam Tip breaking

    Sounds like a defect.
We had our Silvia for over 2 years with no such issue. And we used the wand EVERY time we made coffee.

The person who bought it off me reckons its still going OK.

Your particular situation sounds like a bit of bad luck. I have not heard of the same thing happening to anyone else here.

Should be a warranty replacement. Either just the tip or enitre wand.
The whole wand is only about $35 retail, and a few minutes to swap, so hopefully it wont be too big a deal to get a replacement.

    Good luck.

    Brett.

No experience of this. Sounds like an easy fix (probably just a defective steam tip). Ask your seller for a new one.

If the threads on the steam arm look ok, dont worry.

    Silvia Steam Tip breaking

Yesterday my Steam Tip (Silvia - 2 months old) just broke off.

The threads in the steam tip were cracked!!

Not sure if there is damage to the steam arm...

    Anyone experienced this before?

Working...
