    15 days later still no machine.

    Attended the service centre today and discussed my issues with them. They were able to replicate the leaking so they will hold the machine and try and fix it.

    While I was there I decided to buy another machine instead. The service at the service centre was brilliant and I will be selling the 6910 when it is finally fixed.

    My recommendation to any newbies buying coffee machines -
    1/- Buy your equipment from specialist coffee machine suppliers, their advice is worth bottling.
    2/- Read forums such as this and see what issues others have had and make a decision on what you can live with.

    For me, I am sick of Sunbeams issues and the poor customer service. They should have replaced the faulty machine straight away given that it was less than a week old when the machine first had problems.

      The service seems to have gone out the window lately from what Ive been reading.

      In the week before last Christmas they replaced for me an old 6900 with a brand new 6910 after the 6900 lasted 5 days following a repair before one of the problems resurfaced.

        Ive had my 6910 for 11 months with no problems, so I guess Ive been lucky.

        So Daniel, may I ask what machine you bought?

          Will be the Silvia at this stage. Will also pick up the matching grinder.

            As an update.

            I was called on Monday to let me know that the service centre would be working on the machine. Heard nothing all week. Called the service centre back this afternoon.

            Ooops sorry, we forgot to call you. Due to stock take, can not pick up machine until Monday.

            Arrrrrrggggggghhhhhh.........This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever seen. In a previous life I worked as a Customer Service Manager and even then I did not see such poor service as this.

            Cant wait to get it back so I can get rid of this machine and the very disappointing customer experience that goes with it.
