The tube is very fragile, although it sounds like you have already managed to undo it successfully already. While you have it apart it may also pay to check the copper "U" tube and "T" at the end of it.

    So sorry I never got back to you in a proper timely manner.

    All good now, I made a rather long reply to you on another post.

    Suffice to say I used my own "unique" not best practice method.
    Using a rather aggressive descale tablet in the basket on the inbuilt flush, and also using the manual button.
    However,I am not sure why this worked, it shouldn't have.

    I got the guage to flicker again, heard the 3 way starting to work properly.

    Suffice to say it now gets a clean very often, is happening as I write.
