I have a BZ10 (bought second hand), however if I was buying new now I would stretch for the Elizabeth - the feature set is really nice!

I recently got the Lelit Elizabeth for a bit over 2k. I had a hx machine before and got tired of cooling flushes and guessing temperatures. It is a dual boiler with pid and seems built very well - not as tough as an e61 hx machine, but I'm not sure it needs to be. Ie, it doesn't have 4kg of brass hanging off the front. The internals seem to be laid out very well with solid components.
The Lelit Mara X is actually a bit cheaper and has a pretty big following. I was personally just done with HX machines.
All the best with your hunt!

The Sette 30 only has the large adjustment steps, you'll need at least the 270. A better grinder will produce better coffee per dollar than a better machine.
Also nothing wrong with Lelit, they do good value machines.

What's your budget? There are quite a few options in the heat exchanger category, which in and of itself has a few tiers dependent largely on budget rather than performance.
Alternatively, there are also cheaper double boilers (see Rancilio and Breville) as well as appliance grade machines (the Breville barista express is a favourite).
Keep in mind, a higher end grinder will do more for you than a proportionally higher end machine.

HX selection newbie
Hi, I am taking my first step in home espresso machines and I am overwhelmed by the choice.
I was originally looking at ecm casa v single boiler but was told it was less than ideal for milk based drinks as we would have maybe 4 latte/ cap per day.
I then had the Magister Stella recommended but not much information/ support in Australia.
So I have since seen the Bazerra BZ10 and Bezerra Magica. More support and info in Aus
I have been told heat exchanger will be better for what I am doing.
Anybody have experience with any of these machines? Build quality , ease of use steaming power etc
Looked at Lelit but build quality not there by what I'm told.
Any other recommendations/ comments?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
