Greetings snobs,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
The time has come for me to upgrade from my crappy old Sunbeam machine, which has served me adequately if not necessarily well for 10+ years.
Have found what looks like a good deal on a Gaggia Besana bean-to-cup machine.
As a long-time latte sipper (in my defence, I didn't really do coffee for my first 35 years, until I spent a year in the US, so that's where I learned my bad habits...), I don't need many bells and whistles, just a machine that will consistently make a solid espresso shot to my liking.
Can't find any reviews elsewhere that do anything other than parrot the promotional material.
Does anyone have experience, good, bad or otherwise, with this particular machine? I recognise that Gaggia are a reasonably well-respected brand...is this one of their lesser efforts, or will it convince me I've been drinking rubbish for years?
Thanks for your indulgence!
cheers,
IWLS
