Hi everyone! I am actually not from AU, but I reading through pages of this forum and decided to create a thread.
So I have this problem, currently where I live, my only option for a "prosumer machine" is mostly importing them through amazon.
Almost half goes into "import fees" which might be refunded if not used, but it's not a sure bet.
Anyway:
Saeco SE50 (almost the same as Sunbeam Torino) - u$s 935
Problem: (no boilers, 3 thermoblocks, no same built quality as Italian Made machines)
vs
Gaggia Classic Pro (US model) - u$s 826
Problem: (but it's 110 v 60hz and where I live it's 220v 50hz so beyond getting a Voltage transformer, the machine will run at a different frequency which I heard it's not advisable)
Additional problem: it doesnt come with a PID. (I know it can be mod to have it but it's one more thing to try to get in here)
vs
Lelit Grace PL81t (Germany imported) (220v 50hz) - $1280
Problem: 57mm portafilter, read that it has some problems with showering.
I love from the gaggia and lelit that they have boilers instead of thermoblocks.
I like that the gaggia has 58mm portafilters.
I like that the lelit has PID.
I like that the Saeco SE50 has 58mm portafilter and PID , yet it seems that it is not recommeded based on this thread:

What would you do?
Thanks!
