I quite like the sunbeam knock box. It holds about 17 pucks and the rubber bits absorb lots of the shock when you knock out the puck.

Ive used some of the less rubbery knockers and it just feels like im breaking the PF. and my wrist!

Hi Novice10 I have a knock box which I got from Myer it was $35, but they can get a bit smelly. You can put some bicarb soda in it to prevent the mouldy odour.

You can try coffeeparts - site sponsor on the left - who have a good selection. I bought a Sunbeam one at harvey norman (but the rubber bits are annoying).

Thanks so much for sending the link - I had read yours before I bought my machine, but couldnt remember how you fixed it and couldnt find it searching the site.
I have it working now - as usual it was operator error - I had not put the water tank in properly.
Now eagerly awaiting delivery of my conical grinder next week and will just have to put up with pre-ground until then.
Anyone know where to get one of those bucket thingos that you toss the used coffee into - whether there are any tips to look for, or whether the domestic ones are just too small to bother?

I had the same problem when I first bought mine. Here is my very similar thread:

Good luck. I really like my machine

    Hmm
That is not the steam metre - it is the pressure gauge for the group head.

If there is water coming out of the hot water dispenser and the steam wand it sounds odd that nothing is coming out of the group head.

Is it a brand new machine? It definitely sounds as though something is not right. It may be worth calling the sunbeam hotline which you should be able to get off their website. They would then walk you through any troubleshooting that you could do.

The single cup button doesnt release water either. Also, have just noticed that the steam meter has not moved from zero !

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the machine was fully warmed up with all lights on. I have just tried the hot water and the steam and both are releasing water. Maybe I need to leave it much longer after all lights are on?? I left it go over a minute pushing the manual button to see if there was a delay in the water release but then it started to smell warm and so I stopped waiting in case I was ruining the machine (which I havent even used yet)!

    Hi

Has the machine fully warmed up?
If it has a flashing green light - no water will come out
If it has all the lights on, you should be able to purge water using the manual button. Also purge some water through the steam wand and the hot water dispenser (cant be done at the same time as the group head).

Try using the single cup button instead of the manual button.

    Sunbeam EM6910 Help

I have just purchased a Sunbeam EM6910. It says to purge 1 ltr of water thru the machine prior to first use. I have followed all the instructions but no water comes out at all? What am I missing?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, or someone has posted this before - this is Day 1 and am still negotiating around the site..
Working...
