Hi all, I had a block in the steam thermoblock so I opened up the machine and was able to unblock it with by syringing descaling solution through the thermoblock with the help of older posts.
Steam started working again but I noticed with the machine open that some steam was coming out of a tiny hole just after the thermoblock as in the picture. However I noticed that steam only comes out when I put the setting on the lowest temp and highest wetness which was used when testing it all. When I change the setting to highest temp and lowest wetness then no steam comes out of the hole. When steaming milk I use the highest temp and lowest wetness so maybe it won’t be a problem?
So I was just wondering if it is worth patching that hole and what I can use to patch it? I was thinking of getting high temperature putty like the link below. It can withstand up to 260 degrees Celsius. I am assuming that is enough for the steam block? It says it is also non toxic so wondering if this is suitable?
