Much appreciated Steve. I read something similar elsewhere but it wasn’t as clear as what you’ve explained

Hi Dan,
The older Lelit steam valves are a brass on brass seal, which wears out both the shaft and the valve body.over time, so the only way to guarantee that you will stop the leak is installing one of the newer Teflon seal valve and shaft you mention above.

Lelit PL41LEM Anna - steam wand won’t stop dripping
Hi all, Completely new to espresso as of a few months ago and purchased a 2014 Lelit PL41 Anna to learn the ropes. Absolutely loving it. Currently making 2-4 milk drinks and an espresso or two daily which is some effort with a single boiler but a great teacher.
Overall I’m very happy with coffee flavour from various fresh beans and milk consistency however.... As soon as the machine heats up the steam wands drips even with the knob tight. Before steaming there’s quite a bit of water to purge and I’m guessing the steam is a little wet with the issue.
There’s a few forum messages around but usually really old as I think Lelit changed the design. Does anyone have any advice before I buy:
•Tap rod 2200067
•Value 2200065
