They can drop off pretty sharply sometimes, especially once opened. What's the roast date? (In YYMMDD below the expiry date on the side of the bag)

I was going to make a joke about 'you aren't using Aldi coffee' ! Try 250 grams fresh from a local roaster, cheaper than getting someone to look at your grinder.
You might just have an older bag

About 1/3rd of the way through a bag. Wife really likes Aldi's Lazzio Medium Roast coffee beans. Same amount: 18g for 2 cups, with 50g poured (25g / cup).
I'll try another bean to see if that makes a difference.

Don't rule out the coffee. Has it changed, new bag, different blend, etc. Lower amount of coffee?

So being that I haven't changed the grinder settings, and only tried changing them to finer today, after the issue appeared, this would suggest an issue with the grinder itself then?

Many thanks, I don't know why I didn't think of that ?Originally posted by 338 View PostWhat does it do with a blind filter in?
Pressure comes straight up to 9 bar. So that would indicate that the beans aren't being ground fine enough?

Lelit PL042EMI pressure only reaches 4bar
It started happening today; the pressure only reaches 4 bar, instead of its usual 8 bar.
I have tried adjusting the grind from the usual setting of 2.2 on the built-in grinder, all the way through to 5, with no effect.
Suggestions please.
