Hi all
After many years of drinking and enjoying pod coffee (Nespresso) I'm in the market for a new semi-automatic machine. Although I love drinking coffee, I would say that I will very much be a beginner when it comes to using this type of machine.
From my limited research I have stumbled across a few machines that look like they might do the job. These include:
- Breville The Barista Express
- Breville The Barista Pro Express
- Breville The Dual Boiler with Smart Grinder Pro
- Gaggia Classic
- Rancilio Silva
- Bezzera bz10
- Bellezza Chiara
- Rockey Espresso Appartamento
My budget is fairly flexible, anywhere from $700 to $3000 would be fine (I know that's a big range). I'm just not sure if it's worth spending the upper amount of my budget, considering I'm a total newbie at this!
My favourite coffee to make is a short/long black along with a latte for visiting family. I'm after a machine that will last and not need to be replaced any time soon.
Any advice or help from others out there would be greatly appreciated.
I will also be visiting Melbourne next week, I'm a 4 hour drive from Melbourne and wondering if there are any shops others can recommend to visit for some more advice and help. Where is the best place to purchase a machine in Melbourne?
Thanks in advance
Adam
