  • EM6910 Stiff Hoses

    Hey everyone.
I've bought a new steam pump in an attempt to fix my 6910 (descaling etc. didn't work). I've managed to get the old one out, but now that I'm trying to install the new one, I can't get the allegedly flexible hoses over the hose barbs. I've tried a few times using force, but only managed to damage the hose. I also have tried the hair dryer and submerging the hose in boiling water.

This is the hose I'm talking about:

And this is the new pump with a piece of the broken hose to show how much I'm struggling!

Any tips for how to get these hoses on? I reckon I've got one more try before the hose starts getting too short!
    Cheers
    James

You seem to have the right hoses but the barb on your pump looks larger. Mine measures 8mm at its widest. How does the new one compare to your original?

Thanks! Pumps look the same size but I think my hoses just got too hard.
