Did you get the temperature readings for the 3x NTCs right after it was doing the strange behaviour?

I used the video guide to get into the diagnostic menu
https://youtu.be/ht_Ny7Lfvns
Error counts for all codes are “00”
I suppose this means either nothing is wrong, or something that isn’t monitored for is wrong? Apparently my machine has only made 770 cups. Pretty new still!

Possibly a brew boiler or group head NTC fault. In this video the guy showed how to go into the engineering menu and view the temperature readout of the steam boiler, group head and brew boiler. Next time the machine is hot, do this and tell us the temperatures. Would be good if you could do it before and after fixing the issue (though you have to turn the machine off to do it, so there may be no before/after)

Breville BES920 (Dual Boiler) sometimes takes very long to heat up
Hi all
I’ve come into possession of a ~5 year old BES920. It works great for the most part however seems to have one small issue:
Sometimes, when you power it up it’ll take a VERY long time (20+ minutes) to get up to temp. Other times it’s the normal 5 ish minutes.
I’ll power on the machine, and the temp display slowly increases from ~30 deg C up to 90 deg C. It then gets stuck on 90 degrees C for a good 15-20 minutes and then bam - up to temperature (which is set at 91).
Strangely, when it’s “stuck” on 90, I can go into the settings and change the temperature set-point to 90, then back up to 91 — its ready to roll straight away.
In summary, the system gets stuck at 1 degree below the set-point for a LOOOONG time. If I set it at 90, it gets stuck at 89. If I set it at 89, it get stuck at 88.
Just so we’re clear it always gets up to temp. It’s just that sometimes it takes forever to do. And due to it’s short duration auto-power-off, it makes it doubly annoying.
I’ve searched the internet for this and not really gotten anywhere.
Anyone have any ideas?
