No diagram, but see if these images help. ( I pinched them off the internet some time ago, when I was helping a mate sort out his old Series 1 Family). It looks like the flexible clear silicone tubing goes from: the Over Pressure Valve, (OPV); and the group's three-way solenoid valve, go to a 'Y' joiner you are talking about. From there, they probably go to the drip/slops tray in the base of the machine. Oh, and there will be a third, (suction), tube which goes from the water tank to the intake on the vibe pump.

Good luck, hope you get some great shots from what is a classic looking machine.

Probably won't help WRT the orientation of the tubing but there are several owners on CS so someone should be able to help.

    70's Faema Family Espresso Machine

    Hi
    New here.
Looking for some info on the 1970's Faema Family espresso machine. I bought a second hand one with the pump not working. I ordered a pump from Italy some years ago and have now dragged the machine out to have a look at fitting the new pump. Doesn't look a hard job but I'm a bit confused with the plastic tubing. There is a Y joint and I don't remember where the plastic pipes go. Is there anywhere I can see a diagram of the water flow, would love to get it working.
    Thanks
Working...
