Rancilio Miss Lucy - query about the grinder

Just for people who find this post in the future, here's a picture of the stop screw and bracket on a Rancilio Lucy grinder. This screw will limit the rotation of the hopper and hence the grind size. Note that if the hopper and associated lower black ring are reassembled in the incorrect position, this may also affect the grind setting.

Firstly, good score with Lucy - she would make a great travelling coffee machine.
If the grinder is similar to the Rancilio Rocky grinder, there may be a stop screw fitted to the top burr/hopper carrier, which limits the adjustment of the burrs. If you want to remove it, you will need to remove the blue plastic hopper first.

Rancilio Miss Lucy - query about the grinder
Hi, this is my first post here.
Has anyone had experience with the grinder on the Rancilio Lucy ? I've bought a second hand machine and have just given it a well overdue service inc replacing the burrs, descaling, back flushing etc. The issue I have is that when I wind the hopper down to get the right grind I find that it catches on the adjuster locking button - you push this down to allow the hopper to turn. The manual says to wind the hopper down until it slightly touches the grinders (burrs) and then back it off but the locking pin won't let me do this - in its fully depressed position it still catches on the hopper. I'm thinking I'll just remove it altogether but thought I's see if anyone else has had this issue. Apart from this issue the machine works really well. I have a Silvia with separate (Isomac) grinder but like the combined nature of the Lucy.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
