Rancilio Silvia OPV - gaskets or PTFE tape?

Thanks - that was also my feeling. However mine didn't have a washer it had pink teflon - probably from me removing it last time and not having the washer. Or possibly when it had the boiler repaired 'professionally' IDK. I'll head out to autobarn or similar and see if I can find one. I was also wondering if a plumbers supply place might have them? Seems easier to go somewhere local where I can check the size.

I beg to differ.
From memory the OPV fitting in the Silvia has a parallel thread and a copper washer (I gave mine away a few years ago so I can't check).
The usual sponsors will carry the correct copper washers but they are pretty commonly used for other purposes so you can also get them from auto parts shops etc etc.
PTFE tape is designed for use on tapered threads where the taper ensures that as the joint is tightened the clearance reduces, compressing the tape and forming a seal. Using it on parallel threads is a bodge, logically with a parallel thread form the clearance doesn't reduce the same way.
This is something that a lot of people don't seem to understand: at least three times now I've spent much of the first month in a new winery fixing these bodges performed by the previous winemaker. Mind you, compared to filling the brine system with 100% glycol, running the jackets backwards and wondering why the cooling system didn't work, a few bits of wayward teflon is as nothing. / rant

Rancilio Silvia OPV - gaskets or PTFE tape?
In attempting to adjust the OPV on my V3 Silivia I have had to remove the OPV.
I have some questions:- Should there be a gasket between it and the boiler joiner piece?
- Or is pink teflon tape sufficient?
- If instead it's supposed to have a copper washer, where can I find them?
