  • Are there any good machines under $400?

    Hi guys,

As you can tell from the post count Im rather new here. Been lurking for a bit though because Ive decided to upgrade from plunger and perculator coffee (which has its place but I want more). Hopefully I havent replicated any other newb posts of what machine to get because most seem to have either a larger budget or a smaller one.

Anyway money is rather tight and while I could wait a while till I could afford $900-$1500 for a machine, Id like to have decent coffee now for no more than about $400 or less.

My plan is to try to find a reasonable machine for a reasonable price, buy fresh grinds each week from Cosmorex/Wodonga/Hansel & Gretel (Im in Canberra), then move on to a really good grinder and grind my own. Then upgrade the machine in the much longer term.

Ive done quite a bit of reading around this and other forums but cant for the life of my find what I reckon would be the ideal machine for me- the Gaggia Carezza. So, is there anything else out there that might fit the bill? And if so, where could I get it?

    Cheers

    Many thanks for the plug.

    And the answer is....

If this is your budget, we have a really good little machine for you at $399.00. It can be demonstrated to you and you will see how good it is, or isnt.

And when it eventually requires service (as they all do), unlike other brands that disappear into neverland where you dont even get to talk to the serviceman that did the job, we service promptly in house. The machine will not leave the premises.

If this seems ok to you, please give me a call as they are not on our website yet.

    Regardz,
    FC.
