    Re: Brisbane Equipment Store

Just to update this thread, I purchased a LeLit Combi from Dennis @ Cuppacoffee.  After it got here, enlisted in a local barista course that allowed me to bring the machine in for the training on it.  Have to admit, I was overwhelmed.  Having never made an espresso before, and a new machine to learn on.

I did learn that the stenciling on the knob to adjust the grinder is wrong!  Gotta love those Italians sense of humor.  Note: watch the numbers on the grinder hopper, not the knob instructions.

During the course, trying to steam the milk was an issue.  It seemed to run out of steam trying to froth 300ml.  Im sure it is user error, but will continue to investigate.

As a side note, the instructor was impressed with the little machine and also thinks it is a user/learning issue and that he will most likely get one for home use.

If anyone wants to check it out, just let me know.  It is not likely to find one in a store around Brisbane so Ill open my home up for inspection...just let me practice more before criticizing my coffees!

    Cheers,
    Ryan

Are there any known shops that I can walk into and see these items?I dont mind if one is in one place and one is at another.I think it would be worth the driving.
You can see the rocky grinder at Barazi - Coopers Plains

Cant help with the Dell Opera/LeLit Combi

    They do however have Silvia

    KK

Cant think of one close at hand... But I do have a Rocky on my bench

Hi CS.  Looking at getting my first machine and grinder.  I am looking at the Nemox Fenice type; I know the Dell Opera/LeLit Combi etc are all similar).  I am also looking at the Rocky Doser.

I have found them online from the sponsors, but none from the local sponsors.  I value their knowledge and support on CS, but I would like to get my grubby hands on one to play around before parting with my money.

    Thanks in advance,
