  • OPV on new silvia

So i thought id have a look at moding the OPV on my silvia. When i pulled it apart i noticed that it does not look the same as others ive seen in photos and been discribed on forums. It looks to me like it’s adjustable via the locking nut. See attached photos.

    What do you think?

looks like to me.....you really need a funky pressure gauge pf to check it with....St Ali have one that they may let u have a play with if you are melb based and bring the machine in

well i got my self a pressure gauge to measure the system pressure and low and be hold its set to 9.5 Bar. Seems Rancilio have been taking notice of all the message boards on the web?

Anyone else have a new Silvia that can varify this?

          Matt

            Hi Matt,

Was the pressure reading 9.5 before you made any locking nut adjustment?

My Silvia is from 2003 or 2004. I suspect the pressure is higher than 9.5 Bar but I have no way of checking. Is your pressure gauge available for borrowing? I think Im in a neighbouring suburb to you.

            Cheers,

            Rob

                    Matt,

What did you use (Part No.?) and where did you buy it from?. Did you screw it into a PF. Id like to do the same thing. Gotta a piccy?

                    Cheers,
