Re: Office Emergency!!!
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, thats the usual mistake right, leaving out the budget!!!
We were thinking somewhere around $600. They guys dont really know what they want, at the moment, we have a 12 cup plunger with a little grinder, and its good, but we sort of want to go further.
What are the opinions of an electric Moka pot? How does it compare to the stove top or even plunger?
Ive put in for a user name etc for Talkcoffee Chris so Ill see if I can talk the guys up the budget tree lol, I wouldnt mind something shiny in the office! ;D

Hi Iconiq,Originally posted by 5A707C7D7A62130 link=1269204873/0#0 date=1269204873Hey Guys,
Its been a fair while since Ive had time to be online, but now that Im here I could do with some advice...
Ive just transferred to a new office. We have six guys, and all love coffee. So its been put to me to choose and buy a coffee machine to get the morning brew going. We were thinking NOT an espresso machine because of time and money. I was originally wanting a Bodum 3000 but I have since heard that they have been discontinued!
Any suggestions of a decent machine?
Thanks in advance.
Its a bit hard to advise you without a budget and a little more information. Are you planning on going manual or not?[*]Grinder and a french press for circa $200?[*]Grinder and a drip? $200ish?[*]Espresso machine and grinder??
All will be excellent with fresh beans...
Even if you purchased a great HX machine and grider, factor in 2 coffees a day per worker and the kit is paid for in under 12 months.
Happy to assist if we can. If you do change your mind, perhaps something like our DS demo and a K3T would work really well and youd save a fortune too

I guess it comes down to budget and what you want to achieve...
