G,day all .
first time post just to introduce myself .
dont know what to say to kick off .
i know nothing about coffee or what i do know i could write on the back of a postage stamp.
but the wife and i have a take away food place in the bush and have done for a lot of years .
we get asked a lot for cappuccino and we mostly turn people away because we dont do it.we have also been asked for latte ( never seen one except on tv )
we have decided we want to change that.
now dont throw stones at me but i drink instant :-[
only the best though "moccona intensity "i am fussy about my instant , and i use whitener , never tried an espresso .
anyway we are about to enter into a steep learning curve i have been reading now for 3 days on the net and getting more amazed by the hour at the amount there is to learn about coffee.
i will be in toowoomba tomorrow and intend visiting a few coffee places and check out some gear .
oh forgot a few years ago we did plunger in the shop for a while but it never took off much .
i have one very regular customer ( not for coffee )who is from serbia and has already told me he will be a an even more regular customer if we can get it right, he lives on the the beans.
i have had a bit of a yarn to "AM" on a woodwork forum of which i am a member .
i am at the moment trying to make up my mind on which machine would suit our needs best without taking out a second mortgage .
i also realise i will need to do at the very least a short course to get me on the right track at the start.
