Hi all,
Up until now I didnt realise the importance of a good tamper. Ive been persisting (suffering) with an InCasa tamper for my 57mm baskets. Has a slightly convex base and thought that this was as good as it gets. Shots are OK, however I rarely seemed to get a solid puck when I knocked it out. Also the tamper would jam in my baskets and usually pull the thing out. The crema also seemed to dissipate on my shots rather quickly.
Just received a custom tamper from Greg Pullman. (Thanks Greg) Boy what a difference a piece of metal can make! Service was great too.
Just tamped and pulled a shot. The difference in crema is astonishing! Its also the first time Ive knocked out a puck in tact.
NAYY. Just a VERY satisfied customer. I know most of you probably have one already but if you dont I urge you to give these wonderful tampers a go. Theyre visually stunning too.
Didnt think that a tamper would make so much difference. Preaching to the converted now.
