    Re: Silvia tip replacements?

Found a 4 hole tip in the US, tip was only $15 US too, but the postage was $63 US ?! Sent an email, but doubt anything will come of it!!

Will think about the solder/redrill idea for sure... Just got to get a small small drill bit.

    Should be good.

    Re: Silvia tip replacements?

other option would be to drop a blob of silver solder down the tip and drill it out to a smaller diameter. Ive currently got toothpicks blocking 2 of the 4 holes in my cimbali tip as I try and work out the best options. 4 holes produce way too much steam for smaller quantities of milk, it goes from cold too boiling in about 3 seconds . Coffe parts did sell a nice 2 hole tip but its too short for the long thread on my older style wand.

Either that or dont clean the wand it will eventually crust up making a smaller nozzle size

Silvia tips are replaceable, I think first line do a 3 holed tip. Im happy with one hole though. coffee parts probably sell the one hole silvia tip, but I dont think there is another with a smaller hole.

Not a 100% sure, but I dont think the Silvia tip is replaceable. I think the whole wand has to come off? Can anyone clarify please. I would like a multi holed tip for my Silvia if they are available.

    Silvia tip replacements?

Anyone know where I may track down a Silvia steam tip with a very small single hole. Im using it on my Carezza, and I would like to try a smaller holed tip to see if I can improve the microfoam a bit.

Ive tried to "Peen" the tip Ive got but its stainless, and wont budge.

Ive seen tips with 4 holes, but I think itd be overkill without the steam power of the Silvia behind it.

    Cheers,
    Andy
