With the recent shortage of machinery, I have had some time to do a little research and the Giotto has done a fair bit of work as a demo machine....which started me thinking...looking...and then an attack of the dreaded "upgraditis".
Id thought about the ECM Veneziano A1....given that the Veneziano did soooo well in the Australian Barista Comps....oO( A rotary pump would be nice....) and was heading in that direction....What would have been missed was the much loved lever operated E-61 group and I wasnt really all that crazy about Volumentric...
Whilst getting an update on arrival of a few ordered Giotti (Is that the plural??
;D), I mentioned the Veneziano....and the response was "Which one"?
Little did I know that there is a Veneziano S1....Imagine:
E-61 Lever and Giotto premium style wands and handles (updated since this pic...)
Bigger Boiler
Rotary pump
Switchable plumbed/tank
All I can say is
.... SOLD!
Ill feedback when it arrives.
FYI all stock of the Giotto will be back to normal in a couple of weeks but a price rise of around 4% due to increasing metal prices seems unavoidable...
