Arrh...nice to see the passing on of generational knowledge Mal
. Mr Bonkers your old man knows his coffee (!) and is very generous passing on this knowledge on this site. Its great to see that his passion is obviously shared down the family tree. There are some very nice set ups here and every one of them, even the most humble, would add immeasurably to that lowly thing that no one here dares mention (its granulated and 100% robusta!!!!) and gives great pleasure Im sure.
My equipment is listed underneath, and I will post some pics when my Mazzer Super Jolly arrives in the next few weeks.
Cheers all.

Hello! New kid on the block here - so glad to have signed on!
Hmmm....the equipment....
La Peppina (first shot of the day)
Faema Faemina
Caravels (a pair, though not matched)
Comocafe (love to watch the bubbles as it heats!)
Olympia Cremina - shes on the bench for some measuring
La Pavoni Euro (on hand in the shop to satisfy the delivery man, or get us through that last bit of afternoon work)
Microcimbali (a pair, though we dont use them often, theyre always ready when needed)
PeDe Wall mount grinder
Zass, & Kym counter tops
The travelers are a Stella Alcohol, and a tiny little turkish type grinder for on-the-go, and a Mr. Coffee with an electric blade for that all important Motel Coffee taste!
Tampers are a motley mix, from a Reg Barber to a cut off darning egg made to fit!

My Setup for a Newbie
Hi all,
Just sharing the setup I that I have. Have the new edition of the Sunbeam EM0480 Grinder and a Pullman Tamper that my old man Mal past onto me. Have a picture of pulling a shot from some coffee beans that Mal roasted for me, best Ive had so far. The Pullman tamper made a massive difference compared to the little blue scoop/tamper that came with the Breville Ikon. Also got my hands on the unpressurised breville basket, which I was able to pick up by chance instead of having to ordering it, lucky.

Cheers,
BonKeRS

Yeah, I think I mightve gotten a leetle carried away... I was going to be "good" -- when the espresso bug started to nibble I was thinking, you know, nothing too expensive, a Breville Cafe Roma or a Sunbeam; lets be sensible, yada yada yada
Now... oh dear... half the kitchen bench is given over to the coffee bar, the house smells of roasting coffee (hey, it can compete with the brewing kit under the sink!), my SO who doesnt even drink coffee
has been delegated to build Silvia a PID, and Im sort of twanging from drinking so much coffee -- cause practice make perfect (I hope, eventually... :
