Hi Frad, not sure if the Lady is like my ECM botticelli, large single boiler?
If so its like Sparky said. When my boiler light goes out I flush for about 5 sec to get the hissing, bubbling boiling water out and then about 2 sec longer- about right for my machine- 92/93 C

In general, once the water stops flashing to steam you are at or below the 100 C mark. You want to be in the 88-95 C range, so you generally flush a bit longer. Details vary from machine to machine, but Ill flush about 200 ml with my machine before making a shot.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

    Brasilia Lady Temps

    Hey,
Im trying to get the right temp for my machine at the moment, but I have too many other factors that are stuffing things up, like bad tamp/tamping etc.,
But when I flush as soon as the temp light goes out heaps of steam comes out, which I take as meaning its too hot. Would I be correct? If I flush until the steam stops will that be the correct temp? Im sure the answer is already posted here somewhere, but I havent been able to find it...
After I get my new Pullman tamper [smiley=happy.gif] I should have a better chance of experimenting with temps.
    Cheers,
    Rob
