Agreed Greg. Kudos to you on the idea of the name change. Your skills are far beyond just making quality tampers my friend...

Try using baking soda to clean your equipment. Its ripper stuff, leaves everthing spotless and is a natural cleaning product. Just rub it on with a bit of water.

Definitely wash it. I just chuck it in the dishwasher every night, once a
                week soak in Cafetto.

Would the basket fly around in the dishwasher since its so light?

I would think it would go in the cutlery basket.
                  It shouldnt go anywhere then.

Uhm, the basket works very hard in any coffee machine - if you are going to put it in the dishwwasher, exactly where you put it is dependent on your age...

CK - at your age I would suggest you just toss it in any place and if you hear it bouncing around, you know its having fun.
TG - at your age I would suggest that not only do you put it in the cutlery basket, but also select the gentle cycle and maybe trow a little tea tree oil in as well, to soothe away the aches and pains of all that hard work.

No worries Cindy, I know Dennis doesnt mean to upset me.
And if he did, I dont need to use any martial arts on him.
I know a few scooters I can send around to his place to rough him up a bit.
